NASL’s advanced robotic applications and applied technologies lead the way in the field of comprehensive health assessments for power plants.
As a result of problematic operations WPBDCL recently awarded NASL the task of undertaking this assessment activity to determine the current operating condition of the boiler tubes on Unit 1 at their Sagardighi TPS.
This advanced application of robotics allows inspection of areas previously un-accessible using conventional methods and is believed to be the first of its kind in India.
Preliminary report findings have already highlighted significant issues and areas for improvement.
It is anticipated that the full report will determine the route cause analysis of the boiler tube failures and is eagerly awaited by both WPBDCL and CEA.
